Beyond Borders

I have watched this film in Independent Listening Class. It's a good film that tell us about humanity and love. But, I didn't watch until the end. So, I tried to guess the ending of the story. If I the writer of the story, I would make the happy ending. All of the people who suffered from the disease became health and Sarah came back to her country safely. The government in her country realized their mistake and gave help to poor and unfortunate people. Sarah was a lead of humanity organization. Because of her business in that organization, her husband divorced her. Then she married to Dr. Nick. They always worked together to help other people. And they lived happily forever.

In this film, I really like the character of Dr. Nick Callahan. He is a voluntary doctor. He really cares about unfortunate people. He spends his life offering medical attention to the world's refugees. He does everything to help them although he must risk his life. He does it without hoping payment. Beside that, he is very brave. He isn't afraid to protest the government that doesn't care about unfortunate people.

Bukittinggi: The Exotic City

Have you ever been to Bukittinggi? Bukittinggi is one of the most interesting places in West Sumatera. The mascot of Bukittinggi is Jam Gadang. Jam Gadang is located in the center of Bukittinggi city. If you go there at New Year's Eve, you should not miss the fireworks party because you can see wonderful fireworks in the sky at 00.00 A.M. until morning. Beside that, you can also enjoy the play, dance performance, and concert.

Then, if you want to relax and see good scenery, you should visit “Ngarai Sianok”. It is a wonderful canyon. You can refresh your mind because the scenery is extremely beautiful and so quiet. Not far from there, there is a history building which was built by Japanese. It is “Lubang Jepang”. It is an underground tunnel. The tunnel is very long. There are some jails there. At Japan Colonialism, Indonesian held there. You not only can look the history of Indonesia in Japan Colonialism there, but also hear it with a public phone. It is an unusual phone. If you enter a coin, you will hear someone tells a history.

If your hobby is shopping, Bukittinggi is the right place for it because you can buy clothes with cheaper price. The trades have good quality. In addition you can buy various souvenirs there.

Overall, you will regret if you don't try and bring Bukittinggi’s food, such as Krupuk Sanjai, Kripik Balado, and etc.

Go Traveling

I love traveling. I usually go traveling every holiday with my friends. We often go traveling to AlahanPanjang because one of my friend’s home is located near Kembar Lake in Alahan Panjang. Sometimes, we go to the tea garden in the afternoon.
In short holiday, we just go traveling to Gandoria Beach in Pariaman by train. There, we always eat ”Nasi Sek”. Nasi Sek is rice which is covered with banana’s leaves. Then, we walk and play in the beach.
When I was at the third grade in Senior High School, my class went to Bali. There, we visited some interesting places, such as Tanah Lot, Penyu Island, Kintamani, and Kuta Beach. During our holiday there, we hardly ever ate because Bali’s foods aren’t very delicious for us. There, we just ate Pop Mie. But, we really enjoyed it.
